My focus is on developing dynamic learning experiences that maximize learner engagement and offer opportunities for educators to approach their work from fresh perspectives.
As a seasoned educator, I understand the needs of schools and I’m adept at crafting scalable programming that ignites learner enthusiasm while remaining deeply aligned with learning outcomes and curriculum frameworks.
Strongly grounded in best practices, I bring my wealth of knowledge and a M.Ed in Creative Arts in Learning to everything I do.
research in action

As an interdisciplinary arts researcher, my doctoral work in applied theater focuses on co-creating devised pieces with communities that have traditionally been marginalized or silenced.
The work that has emerged out of my practice is a celebration of the possibilities that arise when we make space for deep listening and authentic storytelling. Although flexible enough to work across a variety of communities, these theater techniques are strongly rooted in youth and educational theater practices.
My research has been published in higher education journals and presented at national and international conferences.

interdisciplinary

The arts can be a lens through which to explore and problem solve across disciplines. I enjoy the fusion that happens at the intersection of diverse subject matter. Whether it’s helping to put the A in STEAM with Acera Education Initiative or bringing educators together to help students discover links between theater and astrophysics with MIT’s Kavli Institute for Astrophysics, the possibilities are endless.
supporting teachers and students

Expanding access to arts requires dreaming big and cultivating strategic partnerships to bring those dreams to reality.
As a drama curriculum and staff developer, I collaborated on Page to Stage, a cross district, multi year playwriting program that trained public school teachers to help students craft plays on interdisciplinary topics. This Creative Schools Grant was funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
At the height of it’s reach, The Page to Stage Young Playwright’s program brought the magic of playwriting and live theater to hundreds of urban school children across eleven public schools.
Through our partnership Cambridge’s Central Square Theater, dozens of young playwrights saw their work produced by professional and semi professional actors in fully staged productions.
